Is Golden Goose Worth The Splurge?
I am someone that firmly believes you should not spend a lot of money on ‘trendy items’ because who knows how long they will be ‘in’. I tend to splurge on pieces I know are timeless and will get lots of use! With that being said, over the past few years, I have been interested in purchasing a pair of Golden Goose Sneakers but I really did not think they would be on trend for as long as they have been. I also struggled to justify spending that amount on a pair of sneakers that appear pre-worn. I gave in and purchased a pair of the iconic sneakers and here are my thoughts!
I would like to start by saying that I have been living in sneakers so I knew if I purchased a pair of GG’s, they would get lots of use. If there is ever a product I am interested in buying but am not 100% sure if it will get enough use, I never buy it. If you have to think about it, you are trying to convince yourself and odds are, you won’t use said product enough. The day my GG’s came in the mail, I was wearing them! I put them on and made sure they fit and were comfortable (I have heard mixed reviews on their comfort or lack thereof) and in my opinion, they are extremely comfortable! They are made in Italy and are of much better quality than I was expecting!
What I love about GG, is how many different styles and color combinations are available. I love how unique their styles are and how often they create new styles. Each sneaker is unique and this makes them perfect to dress up or down. I wanted the pair I purchased to have pink incorporated into the design and I love the metallic look of mine. I have worn them with leggings, jeans, skirts, and dresses. These sneakers are truly so versatile and complete any outfit! After wearing mine for about a month, I get the Golden Goose hype! I can truly say, they are 100% worth the splurge! If you are at all on the fence about purchasing a pair of GG sneakers, take this as your sign to splurge! I wish I would have joined the trend years ago and although this is a ‘trend’, I think it will be around for a while!
