First of ‘Monthly Ulta Favorites’!
I find myself trying so many different products and I constantly have a new ‘favorite’ cleanser, foundation, mascara, etc. so I found it fitting to round up my monthly favorites! There are two kinds of girls 1. Ulta girls and 2. Sephora girls. I love both stores but tend to shop at Ulta more so I will be sharing my favorite products from Ulta! Let’s get to it!
- e.l.f ‘Prep and Hydrate Balm’: This is GOOD. I was on the fence about purchasing this product because I have sensitive skin and struggle with acne but I am so happy I tried it! Texas weather is WILD so I was able to test this primer in many different climates! In the frigid cold, it really did keep my skin hydrated and kept my makeup in place. I love how hydrating it is and it will be the perfect summer primer because of its gel-like consistency! I also love the packaging and how small the product is but with how it’s applied, it will last forever! This is my new go-to primer!
- Redken ‘Triple Take 32 Extreme High Hold Hairspray’: Prior to using this hairspray, I didn’t really have a preference (I would just grab a nice one from TJ Max & call it a day) but since using this product, I have changed my opinion! This hairspray is the bomb. It does an amazing job of keeping my hair from frizzing, provides SO much volume, and has 24-hour anti-humidity protection. I always thought hairspray was used to hold your curl or keep your perfectly straight but this does so much more! I think this is my forever hairspray!
- Rapid Lash ‘Eyelash Enhancing Serum’: I am always frustrated with my sparse lashes and have tried so many pricy serums over the years. I will say my absolute favorite lash serum is the Rodan+Fields ‘Lash Boost Serum’. If you have used the R+F serum, you feel me, there is something so magical about that product but magic won’t pay for it. Personally, that is a product I cannot justify spending too much, enter Rapid Lash! The results after using Rapid Lash for one month were not as intense as the R+F, but my lashes have grown! I didn’t expect it to work as well as R+F and that is alright because it’s a fraction of the cost! I highly recommend it and I will continue to use it!
- Revlon ‘PhotoReady Rose Glow Face Mist’: OMG! When I purchased this I didn’t read the label as well as I thought I did. I thought it was just your typical setting spray but was excited to give it a try. I am not going to lie, the first time I used this, I had to redo my makeup (user error, lol). I was unaware it was an ‘oil blend’ and I really don’t think I would have purchased it if I had known that (just seems strange). I use this facial oil in the morning prior to makeup application because, underneath my foundation, it gives me the best glow but I never really thought about an oil-based setting spray. My advice- SHAKE, SHAKE, SHAKE, and SHAKE some more! You want to make sure the oil is completely mixed around prior to spraying on your face. The first time I used it, I did not shake it and my face looked like an oil slick. This product gives you the most beautiful glow and leaves you dewy and hydrated ALL day (when used correctly)!
- Maybelline ‘Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara’: After seeing this mascara all over Tik Tok, I had to give it a whirl. I assumed I wouldn’t like it because of the wand (I am picky when it comes to mascara wands) but OMG it’s amazing! The wand really helps with clumping and this mascara is next level. Believe the Tik Tok hype! Until next month!
