Quarantine 15?!
Who else has been struggling with weight & finding motivation the past few months? Let’s be honest, the struggle is REAL. Life is hard enough & managing my weight has always been something that makes life a little bit harder. A little background on myself – I am 5’2 (and have been this height since the 5th grade) & have a pear-shaped figure! I am not one of those girls that can eat whatever I want and stay a size two & if you are one of those girls, good for you sister! Considering my height, if I gain five lbs, it looks completely different than my girlfriends that are 5’7 gaining five lbs. Life is just that way! This pandemic has posed many challenges for my weight, mental health, & those damn serotonin levels. I love living an active lifestyle, for many reasons! I like to feel good, be in shape & have my serotonin levels as high as possible.
In March when everything shut down, I frantically ordered what I could on Amazon that would fulfill my at-home workout needs. Prior to quarantine, I saw several people raving about the small workout trampolines & I was curious to try one out! I love the cardio results but don’t love doing the actual cardio- anyone else, lol?! I thought of the rebounder as a fun way to get cardio results and even better, from the comfort of your own home! This seemed to be the most affordable option vs. getting a treadmill or something to that caliber. I only have positive things to say about this rebounder – the guys below me in my college apartment would disagree. I also got this mat which, is amazing! It’s great for yoga, pilates, push up’s, etc. Every great pair of legs has great resistance bands behind them. These bands are awesome & I enjoy changing up the levels of intensity. I have the upper body strength of a kitten, no joke! I tend to go lighter with my dumbbells & these worked well (they don’t have the color I have anymore but I went with the 8 lbs). Having at-home workout equipment has been a game-changer during quarantine! It helps with my weight, stress levels, & gives me something to do every day! Have y’all been staying active the past few months? If so, what have y’all been doing?
Xoxo, Kayla
