Monthly Beauty Favorites!

Outfit Details

TOP: Nordstrom | Very old & sold out. [linked similar] JEANS: J. Crew | I’ve worn these for years & love them! SHOES: Marc Fisher | White is sold out [other colors available] very comfortable!

As everyone knows, I am a product junkie and love trying out new beauty/skincare products! These are some of the best I tried out this month!

  1. Colleen Rothschild ‘Protect & Perfect Styling Cream’ | Okay so I love anything, Colleen Rothschild. The products are amazing and just keep getting better and better! I use the CR shampoo, conditioner, and oil [they are game-changers & smell so good] so when the styling cream was released I quickly purchased it. I have been using it for 4-6 weeks and I love it, especially with this Houston heat/humidity. I only wash my hair once a week so the products I use need to be A++ and these are fabulous! The styling cream uses a blend of Shea & Capuacu butter to help defend against heat/humidity while keeping the body/movement of your hair light and smooth. Highly recommend it if you live somewhere hot/humid.
  2. Clinique ‘Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm’ | This is an OG product of mine that I swear I will never stop using. I struggle with dry skin/acne [the most frustrating combo, lol.] so I need to keep my breakouts under control while keeping my skin hydrated [almost impossible!]. This balm thoroughly removes all makeup/dirt while adding SO much moisture to the skin! I truly do not know where my skin would be without this balm. I start by scooping the product out and rubbing my hands together to warm it up. Then, I massage the balm into my skin [face is dry], and once completely rubbed in, I wet my face and rise the balm off and follow w/ cleanser and my Lumi! This cleanser has been my go-to for the past 5-6 months [great for all skin types- very mild]. I tend to go for a ‘cleansing balm’ because makeup wipes burn my eyes and leave my face red and irritated. Clinique does make ‘Take The Day Off Micellar Cleansing Towelettes for Face & Eyes’, which I have been wanting to try! [The cleansing balm & wipes are currently 15% off] **Side note | One of my holy grail acne masks is Clinique and is also 15% off! Linked here**
  3. Fenty Beauty ‘Glossy Posse Mini Gloss Bomb Set: Holo’ Daze Edition’ | I have been using Fenty gloss for almost a year and love them! The four colors pictured were a set that Sephora had around the holidays but is currently sold out. This gloss is long-wearing and looks so gorgeous on! My favorite colors are ‘Fenty Glow’ & ‘Fu$$y’, but they are all so good!
  4. Tree Hut ‘Bare Moisturizing Shave Oil’ | This is hands down a product that I cannot live without, trust me. I started using this last summer and loved it so much I did an entire ‘Body Skincare’ blog post featuring this shave oil and this sugar scrub [body skincare post here]. These products are great if you 1. Suffer from razor burn, 2. Feel like you have a shave too often, and 3. If you self-tan. Some of my girlfriends have started using the shave oil and they are obsessed. I don’t have to shave as often and I never get razor burn! This is my favorite razer and the combo is SO good.
  5. Bobbi Brown ‘Vitamin Enriched Face Base Priming Moisturizer’ | AKA ‘Face Base’ This is another holy grail product of mine! I tend to use this all Spring and Summer [great for hot/humid months]. Many years ago, I went into Nordstrom to get some makeup inspiration for an upcoming formal event and I stumbled upon the Bobbi Brown counter. I ended up getting ‘all the things’, lol and the face base was one of them [also available in an eye primer version]. It contains antioxidant benefits of vitamins B, C, and E and the smell is amazing [grapefruit and geranium]. Works so well as a primer but also as a daily moisturizer. The cost is higher end but I can say that a little goes a long way and each container lasts me about 6 months! I found it 15% off, WHOO! [sale linked here]

I love sharing my holy grail products and bomb new finds with y’all. If you are not a Sephora Beauty Insider, I recommend signing up asap! It’s Sephora’s free rewards program where you get rewards, free samples, and a birthday surprise [also gives you early access to their savings events!]. If you are more of an Ulta girl [raises hand] make sure you are signed up for their Ulitmate Rewards program. Totally free and has so many benefits! I do most of my beauty shopping at Nordstrom & Ulta and collect points at both retailers. I highly recommend joining their rewards programs if not already participating. Until next month!

Xoxo, Kayla
